TAG Schools brings The Adaptation Game to the classroom
TAG Schools is a resilience-focused curriculum for Years 7-10 (and up). Based on The Adaptation Game (TAG), it is designed to help students respond to climate anxiety by developing their resilience, and connecting to opportunities to create and influence adaptation in their home, school, and community.
TAG Schools was designed to:
Fit the curriculum needs of a typical classroom
Create a hopeful or empowered, less anxious experience of Climate Change education,
Make fears specific, local and actionable,
Help students realise their own agency, and
Reveal opportunities locally for students to get involved in Climate and Resilience activities
TAG Schools is free to teachers in select local areas
Like the original TAG game, TAG Schools uses 'localised' scenarios, maps, and stories to connect students with local knowledge and opportunities to take action.Â
That means only some local areas have TAG schools. To obtain a copy of TAG Schools for you area, get in touch with your local council using these links:
If your school's local council is not on this list, but you'd love to use TAG Schools, you can reach out to the TAG Team at tagclimatedrill@gmail.com. We'll let you know of any plans to bring TAG and TAG Schools to your area.
